If you thought Manhattan was a flat island, think again. The Upper portion of Central Park took nearly twice as long to build as the lower portion of the park due in large part to the bulging bedrock that had pushed its way up through the park ground. Over the changing landscape runners will see the oldest building in Central Park, the regal Conservatory Gardens and do a loop around the majestic Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. This is our “off the beaten path” tour of Central Park. The run begins at 7:00 AM, please plan to arrive at 6:45 AM for check-in. The tour starts and ends at the northwest entrance to Central Park, where Central Park West meets 110th Street. A bottle of water will be provided for each participant. Please note, there will be no coat/bag check for this run.
