Child & Babysitting Safety Training

About This Activity

Babysitting is not just "watching" the children, but it is being responsible for their safety and well being. The American Safety & Health Institute "Child and Babysitting Safety" course is geared to provide 11-15 year olds with the knowledge and skills needed to be effective babysitters. Topics covered include: decision making and leadership principles, basic care techniques, discipline, safety and safe play. Participants will also learn and practice basic first aid and skills including how to respond when someone is choking, how to perform CPR and how to help someone with a sudden illness or injury.
