We are a new, two-country, cross-border marathon between Lubec, Maine,
and Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada. Please join us for an
event that features the best of Downeast Maine and the Atlantic
Maritimes, lobsters included.
Our two beautiful places -- Maine and New Brunswick -- share shorelines,
clean air, and lighthouses that have guided the way for mariners for
generations. Now come the marathoners, guided by the same lighthouses.
Fishing is the region';s heritage, and tourism is its future. This is a
marathon based on both, bringing together tourists, runners,
volunteers and community members.
* The course will be USATF-certified. This marathon offers miles of
water and harbor views, three lighthouses, fishing villages and, yes,
undulating rural roads.
** A companion 10K, from the West Quoddy Lighthouse to the Lubec Town
Landing, falls entirely within Maine -- for runners who dont have
