About This Activity

The Course:  10-mile mountain Bike trail ride. Half-mile lake swim. 2.5 mile trail run. 2-mile kayak. 4-mile trail run.

SO WHAT MAKES THIS SO TOUGH?

You begin on your bike with 2 laps on the Rockford Speedway NASCAR race track 1st lap is behind the pace car then off you go battling for position then off to the trails in Rock Cut State Park. After completing the 10-mile bike you will grab “your buddy” (4foot x 5inch LOG) and swim the ½ mile lake swim with it. Then you will run the 2.5 miles with your “buddy” Where you will then clip it on a tow strap behind your kayak and paddle the 2 miles while it drags behind your kayak. Upon completing the kayak you pick up your “buddy” and run the final 4 miles finishing with a final lap on the Rockford Speedway NASCAR track for the checkered flag. Just remember if you reach the track WITHOUT your buddy you WILL NOT be crossing the finish line. Leave no “buddy” behind!

Cash and prizes for the top three finishers in both male and female divisions. 1st place in both divisions will get to keep their “Buddy” with 1st place engraved on it.

So who wants to be the inaugural TOUGH LOG LUGGER CHAMPION?

SEPTEMBER 7TH 2013 ROCKFORD ILLINOIS

You’ve done the obstacle course races and discovered they’re not so tough after all so what’s next? How can you push yourself doing something you’ve never done before that will take your racing to the next level, set yourself apart from the masses and show your TRUE GRIT? Compete in something that is truly worth training for.  A race where you will be exhilarated just knowing you crossed the finish line because believe me there will be people who wont!

Step up to your next big challenge or are you scared? Scared to find out maybe you don’t have what it takes OR maybe your scared to find out you DO have what it takes.  Either way you need to face your fears and enter this race. Push yourself like never before and prove the naysayers wrong.  Be the first in your circle to get into this race and lead the way!
