Race Registration Categories:
Running Buddy – This category is for a parent/family friend of a GOTR program participant who will be running with the girl during the 5k race and encouraging her throughout the race. When you sign up as a running buddy, you will be prompted for the program participant’s school and name. Every program participant is required to have a running buddy. [NOTE: Running Buddies for both Cane Run and Cochran will sign up via a paper form through the girls' coaches]
General Runner – This category is for the general public & family/friends of GOTR – Louisville who want to run the race. Also, if you would like to Volunteer to be a running buddy, please register as a general runner and you will be contacted by a GOTR representative to fill out a background check. Volunteer Running Buddies are used on an "as needed basis".
Sleep In for the Girls - Not a morning person? Are you going to be out of town on Race Day? Do you have to work? Individuals who prefer to snooze rather than lace up their running shoes can sign up as a Sleep In for the Girls participant to support Girls on the Run – Louisville. Participants who register for this program will receive a Race t-shirt which will be mailed to your home. Register as a Sleep in for the Girls participant by choosing the “Sleep In for the Girls” option as your participant type.
There is public parking around the Seneca Park Loop. You may also park at Christian Academy of Louisville located right next to the park.
ALL GIRLS IN THE FALL 2012 GOTR PROGRAM ARE ALREADY REGISTERED.
All 5k runners and walkers will receive:
- GOTR race t-shirt (while supplies last)
- Post-race food and drink
- Ability to join 150+ pre-teen girls in their first 5k accomplishment!
NOTE: This is an un-timed event. GOTR encourages each girl and participant to do their personal best in the race.
