This is Louisville’s unique road event because thecourse does not go around the zoo; it goes “throo”it! So, while you give your legs their first real challengeof spring, you can treat your senses to thesights and sounds of nature—snow leopards, tigers,and flamingos. The event is a grand adventure for the entire family. Most importantly, everyone can participate—runners, walkers, and animal lovers of all ages.
Fleet Feet Sports (2239 Taylorsville Rd) May 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and May 9 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. or race morning at the Zoo from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
May 8th and 9th at Fleet Feet Sports (2239 Taylorsville Rd) from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. or race morning at the Zoo from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
Overall male and female will receive the coveted Ostrich Egg Award. Next four male and female overall, first master and grandmaster. Top three in each age group, 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.
All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Sizes on a first come, first serve basis.

Free Zoo parking is available. Allow plenty of time on race day to find parking. Packet pickup and registration closes at 7:30 a.m.
Start and finish lines are both within walking distance of the Zoo’s parking lot and are designated by large archways.Participants have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the course. Finish line area will officially close at 9:30 a.m.
Fabulous door prizes provided by Fleet Feet Sports will be distributed at the finish line area beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Each participant also will receive FREE admission to the zoo for the day.
