Translucence, Getty Center visit Thursday, January 9th 2025
For this iteration of our museum visits, we will walk through the Paper & Light exhibit at the Getty Center. This is a group show with many French artists so we will focus on Carmontelle, Cézanne and Seurat. Papermaking is a French pride so we will talk about context, history, materials and ideas.In French for advanced levels.
We will meet on the tram floor, at the bench just when you exit the parking elevator, and go through security together. Please pack a layer and water as appropriate. Your guide will have the group’s reservations but you will be responsible for the parking fee ($25). The parking structure opens at 9:30 am.
