What's Included

Ages 10+ • M-F 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • $150/wk • Instructor: Ryan Norton This introductory course will gain students a strong foundation into the advanced and exciting field of computer programming through exploration of one of the worlds most common and versatile languages, known as Java. This camp will be taught on a "learn at your own pace" basis, with students completing daily challenges to gain a wide variety of skills. After this camp, students will have the skills and abilities necessary to continue their studies and go on to create a wide variety of products, from apps to websites to games, and more! Instructor and Newton’s Attic alumnus Ryan Norton comes to us with six years of Java programming experience and knowledge of more than twenty computer languages.

Newton's Attic, a nonprofit founded in 1998 by Bill Cloyd, is dedicated to providing students with highly unusual educational experiences and providing STEM (Science Technology, Engineering Mathematics) educational resources to parents, students and teachers. Our mission is to stimulate interest in science and engineering through exciting hands-on projects, classes and summer camps.
