What's Included

Fig Newtons Half Day Afternoons 1:00 pm–5:00 pm ($225) • Ages 6-9 Class size limited to 6 students per adult mentor. This class is part play and part hands-on tool use and science fun. Hand tools, saw dust, wood and metal are just some of the things kids will get their hands on in this creative camp. Students will be instructed on the proper use of tools and how things are built. Participants will build projects such as wooden puzzles, games and toys, model rockets, small catapults and other larger projects like collapsible castle forts and paper geodesic domes. Students will keep the projects they build.

About This Organizer

Newton's Attic, a nonprofit founded in 1998 by Bill Cloyd, is dedicated to providing students with highly unusual educational experiences and providing STEM (Science Technology, Engineering Mathematics) educational resources to parents, students and teachers. Our mission is to stimulate interest in science and engineering through exciting hands-on projects, classes and summer camps.
