Ages 12+ • Price: $150 • Minimum of 4 students • Mondays, 4:30–6:30 PM Instructor: Master teacher Jason Sturgill and assistant teacher, Matt Smyser. Meets for five weeks starting Monday, January 6th. This digital art course will focus on how to create digital superheroes, comics and short animations. We will focus on various digital drawing techniques, green screen photography, all in the attempt to provide Truth, Justice, and foster the creative spirit. Students will learn how to use digital drawing software to draw, color, and animate their original superhero as they tirelessly protect the world from various evils that may arise. Jason Sturgill is a public school art teacher, with over 10 years of teaching experience, and a freelance artist. Mr. Sturgill has taught both middle school and high school art students. He currently teaches in the Fayette County Public Schools. Mr. Sturgill resides in Lexington with his wife, Alyssa, and their dog, Scruffy. His favorite comic book character is the Green Lantern. The Mighty Thor is a close second! Past Digital Design students may continue with this course and progress and in their work.
