Brain Games Match wits, nerves and reaction time in this mind stretching venture into the world of strategy and thinking games. Over the course of five days, students will construct 5 different games, one a day, from wood, plastic, metal and other materials. During the first half of the class, participants learn about the engineering process as well as basic fabrication techniques as they use simple hand and power tools to create their games. Once completed, the games are used by the students in friendly, one-on-one competitions while they develop strategy skills, spatial thinking, and logical reasoning. Prizes will be awarded to victorious competitors. Examples of games students will build include the Cracker Barrel Puzzle, Twixt, Mastermind, Connect Four, Code Wheels, 3D Tic Tac Toe and others. Students will keep the games they build.
