Ages: 8+ • Price: $195 • Tuesdays, 4:30–6:30 PM Instructor: Mike Klinglesmith • Minimum of 4 students Need a snack right after the last school bell rings at the end of the day? Then join master instructor Mike Klingesmith at Newton’s Attic for a visit to Newton’s Café. In this fun and unusual class, Mike and students will cook up a variety of tasty snacks using science as the primary ingredient. Electrified hot dogs, solar powered popcorn, ice cream made using liquid nitrogen and other favorite treats will be prepared using the strangest of methods. For dessert, Mike will serve up a hearty explanation of the science behind all the eccentric preparation techniques. Bring your appetites, leave the junk food at home, and belly up to the table this fall at Newton’s Café.

Newton's Attic, a nonprofit founded in 1998 by Bill Cloyd, is dedicated to providing students with highly unusual educational experiences and providing STEM (Science Technology, Engineering Mathematics) educational resources to parents, students and teachers. Our mission is to stimulate interest in science and engineering through exciting hands-on projects, classes and summer camps.
