LYSA Winter Training & Futsal Activities
The LYSA Winter Futsal Training Camp develops ball skills, speed, balance and rhythm. The camp environment is safe with shelter from hazardous weather. "Early Bird" signup ends Dec 14 and will increase by $40 on Dec 15. Training is customized to develop speed & agility. Soccer-related training is customized for first-step advantage, balance, core development, flexibility, rhythm, stretching the upper & lower body and ball skills.
Camp Directors & Instructors
Coaches Jim Rue and Jason Behler are camp directors. Coach Rue has been actively training youth in his Street Soccer Program. Coach Behler has directed LYSA Summer & Winter Camps and is on the soccer coaching staff at Henry Clay HS.
Specifics of Futsal Instruction & Training
The Futsal portion of the Camp will emphasize:1. Ball mastery, 2. Passing and receiving, 3. Shooting & finishing, 4. 1 v 1 attacking & defending, 5. Small group play.
Foot-skills & Futsal Camp Details
The LYSA Futsal Indoor Winter Training Camp is conducted in an air-conditioned environment that will allow maximum conditioning to be obtained safely indoors.
The LYSA Futasal Indoor Winter Camp Schedule
Fridays.6:00pm-8:00pm --- LYSA Futsal Indoor Soccer Training Camp at the KBA.Camp re-starts will begin every 30 minutes so that players can arrive at 30 minute intervals that is suitable for the family schedule. This format will accomadate families with a comfortable means of arriving. Length of participation at each session will vary with campers, but for young players 60-90 minutes can be expected, while some players may take advantage of all 120 minutes.
LYSA reserves all rights to camper placements in appropriate groups. LYSA also reserves the right to cancel any camp day(s) for reasons of safety, like weather-related factors, and to dismiss a camper for behavioral problems, or when presenting a hazard to themselves or other campers at any time during the camp without refund.

Staff from the HIT Center organize and run the HIT portion. Small group instruction is achieved through an instructional staff of high school coaches and former college soccer players. Campers can arrive for 30 minute re-starts from 6-8pm on Fridays and participate on a schedule that is comfortable for them and their families.
