You're invited to become a member of FGA’s Adaptive Golf Coaches team by participating in our Adaptive Golf Training Workshop. The workshop will be held Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 as part of FGA’s Certified Professional Process that develops Certified Adaptive Golf Coaches. It’s an excellent opportunity to give back to the game you love and assist deserving people to learn the great game of golf. Give the “magic of golf.” According to the National Alliance for Accessible Golf, there are 18 million disabled individuals who would like to play golf, but for various reasons either have quit trying or don’t know where to get started. The biggest challenges are simply learning to swing and play, then gain access to golf courses. They don’t need to be sold on the game. They just need instruction and welcoming facilities. As a Certified Adaptive Golf Coach you serve as a vital link and is why FGA is committed to facilitating your opportunity to become a coach. David Windsor, PGA Professional and Director of the Adaptive Golf Academy in Sarasota, Florida will join me in conducting the workshop. David has been a leader in the PGA’s effort make golf more inclusive. FGA’s mission is to bring joy and a sense of freedom to those with special needs though inclusion in the game of golf. You can make a positive impact on the disabled. Grow the game you love. And enrich your enjoyment of golf. It’s simply priceless. The workshop fee is only $95. Participation is limited to the first 20 enrollees. Simply go online to fgagolf.org (click the Event/Clinic tab) to register or fill out the enclosed registration form and return it to FGA via mail by June 8, 2015.
