Southern Nevada Writing Project
ABOUT THE SOUTHERN NEVADA WRITING PROJECT:
The SNWP has been working with Southern Nevada teachers and students since 1984 as part of a network of nearly 200 National Writing Project sites. In the last ten years, SNWP youth writing programs have impacted over 3000 students and 200 teachers. As a non-profit professional development organization, we serve teachers of writing at all grade levels and in all subject areas. The mission of the SNWP is to impact student learning by improving the teaching of writing, thereby promoting a vision that every person is an engaged and life-long writer.
The SNWP Summer Writing Camps are the ideal experience for authors of all skill levels who enjoy the writing process. Students in grades 1-12 will engage in various types of authentic writing activities to challenge them to grow as writers. Our instructors are SNWP Teacher Consultants selected for their expertise and passion for teaching writing.
