The Lansing Marathon, Half-Marathon, and Ekiden Marathon Relay take place on May 4, 2014 (the 5K and 1.5K Kids Race actually take place on May 3, 2014) and are open to individuals of all ability levels. The marathon, half-marathon, and relay routes are flat, fast, scenic, and varied, covering both urban and rural portions of the greater-Lansing community. All races finish in front of throngs of cheering spectators at the Lansing Center. There is excellent on-course support, with aid stations every two miles and an abundance of helpful course marshals and police officers to control traffic. An Expo precedes the marathon on Saturday, May 3, from 9 AM-5PM at the Lansing Center, 333 E Michigan Ave, Lansing. The start time for the marathon, half-marathon, and Ekiden Relay is 8 A. M. on Sunday, May 4, and the course is open for seven hours.
The Lansing Marathon 5K kicks off at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 3 in front of the Lansing Center, and the MSUFCU 1.5K Kids Race takes place at 11 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2014, also in front of the Lansing Center on Michigan Avenue.
