FALL INDOOR LEAGUE 2012
Welcome to the 2012 Post Collegiate Women's Lacrosse Fall Indoor League.
We are in the process of scheduling and will have that soon. To register please visit our League Registration Page
What: We are the Colorado Women's Lacrosse Association. We are comprised of post-collegiate women of all ages and skill levels. This is a 7v7 indoor league.
When: The Fall season will start on Tuesday, October 16th and run every Tuesday for 8 weeks through December 11th - with exception the week of November 12th. We will play on Monday, November 12th instead of Tuesday, November 13th. No games will be scheduled the week of Thanksgiving. Games will be scheduled between 6 and 8pm.
Who: YOU. Once you register, you will be placed on a team based on your request to play with certain members or through random assignment. You will be contacted by your team representative with the details for your team.
Where: Games are played at Apex Field House at 5724 Oak Street Arvada, CO 80002 - (303) 431-9600
Goggles are required If you have extras please bring them to the games in case people forget. www.uslacrosse.org has a list of approved goggles online. Along with goggles, mouthpieces are also mandatory for all games. Goalies need mouth guards too. You will not be able to play without a mouth guard and goggles.
Jerseys: Each team will do this on their own and may just opt to wear the same color t-shirt for the games.
E-mail: Your team reps will typically email with the schedule. Most of the communication from your team reps will be through email, so if this does not work for you, please let them know.
Show Me The Money: The requirements to play are CWLA dues of $65 and a US Lacrosse membership. The expenses are for officials and the facility. Your CWLA dues need to be paid in full before your first game.
USL: CWLA is a member of US Lacrosse Inc. so each player is required to be a national member and pay the $50 dues. You can view this link to read about your benefits: http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership/benefits.phtml. Anyone who is new to our organization or who has not renewed by the start of the season can do this on line at www.uslacrosse.org. You cannot play in any game without being a member of US Lacrosse. This is for insurance reasons. You will need this membership number prior to registering at Active.com. If your membership expires halfway through the season, you must renew as well. The good news is that your membership is good for one year from the day you enroll so you will also be covered through the Spring and Summer Lacrosse seasons.
Officials: Please be considerate to them. We appreciate their participation in our league. If you are interested in becoming an official, please visit the website for the Colorado Women's Lacrosse Officials Association. Their website is http://www.cwloa.com/ and the contact information is located under "Become An Official."
Schedule: Please mark your calendars with the current schedule once it is distributed. Be to the first game 30 minutes early so information can be verified, you can meet your teammates, throw around, etc.
If you have any questions, comments, or requests please don't hesitate to ask. You can e-mail me at email@example.com.
Hope to see you inside!!!
