Players will learn skills by position, in half-field sessions, and will play at least nine games, including nightly showcase contests. In addition, because all field sessions are conducted by college head coaches, players will learn the skills and techniques that coaches look for at the "next level." Finally, extensive contact with these coaches, plus our college recruiting forum, will leave players more informed about their range of college choices and the recruiting process.

For twenty years, The Dixie Top 150 Lacrosse Camp has been providing expert instruction and recruiting exposure to high school players from all over the country. We have helped train dozens of high school All-Americans, and have opened doors for college players nationwide.
Players from our camp have gone on to make an impact at colleges such as Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, Yale, Denison, Washington and Lee and many, many others. These players attest that their "Dixie Experience" was invaluable in their development.
The camp combines quality instruction with intense competition, both designed to make you a better and more knowledgeable player. Players will learn skills by position, in half-field sessions, and will play at least fifteen games, including nightly showcase contests. In addition, because all field sessions are conducted by college head coaches, players will learn the skills and techniques that coaches look for at the "next level." The All-Star Game Saturday night under the lights is a premier opportunity to shine in front of the staff. Finally, extensive contact with these coaches, plus our college recruiting forum, will leave players more informed about their range of college choices and the recruiting process.
In short, the Dixie Top 150 allows players to continue their development and increase their exposure in the most exciting and competitive camp environment in the South.
The camp is serviced by Charlotte Douglas International Airport. If arriving by plane, round trip ground transportation is provided for a fee of $50. Catawba College is located just 42 miles from the airport.
The camp will dispatch a chartered air conditioned bus to the airport. This bus has a lavatory and VCR and will pick up Dixie campers in the baggage claim area of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Upon arrival, campers should go directly to baggage claim where Camp staffers will be stationed to direct students to the waiting transportation. Campers arriving after 2pm. need to arrange for their own transportation to campus. Campers are strongly encouraged to plan such that they arrive on campus well prior to that time. Return flights should be scheduled to depart after 3:30pm. to ensure timely arrival at the airport.
Campers should pickup their luggage and report to the doors outside of baggage claim, on the lower level, to meet the camp representative and board the charter bus. Airport transportation personnel will be dressed in Dixie Top 150 camp t-shirts and Dixie Top 150 Lacrosse Camp shorts.
Return airplane flights should be scheduled for after 3:30 pm out of Charlotte Douglas Airport

U.S. GOVERNMENT ADDRESSES LACROSSE STICKS AS PART OF AIR BAGGAGE RESTRICTIONS
March 18, 2003
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) last month ruled that lacrosse sticks are prohibited in the cabin of an aircraft and past security checkpoints at airports, but they may be transported as checked baggage. TSA, the agency responsible for security in all modes of transportation, issued the interpretive ruling in the Federal Register on Feb. 14.
In the ruling, TSA classified lacrosse sticks as "club-like items" and prohibited persons from carrying lacrosse sticks beyond airport security checkpoints and onto airplanes. Lacrosse players traveling by air should include their sticks as part of their checked baggage when arriving in airport terminals.
The college is conveniently located in the "Heart of Dixie.", just North of Charlotte and South of Greensboro on I-85.
