What's Included

In this hands-on process oriented course, participants will be introduced to a variety of art media ranging from paint and collage to image transfer techniques. Guided imagery and visualizations will be used as a starting point for each class. An art background or artistic skill is not required in order to benefit from the process. Revitalize and liberate your child-like creativity and self-expression from adult criticism and expectations (sometimes our own inner critic). About This Organizer

Homer Watson House & Gallery, built in 1834, is the homestead of Homer Watson, Canada’s first noted landscape artist. It is one of the oldest operating galleries in Ontario. Watson’s house was also the home of the renowned Doon School of Fine Arts during the 1950’s to 60’s and drew such artists as Fred Varley and Carl Schaefer.   

 

Today, Homer Watson House & Gallery offers a variety of public and private programming to the tri-cities with the objective to enrich and educate all members of our community.  Currently, Homer Watson House & Gallery offers a series of programs catering to local schools and homeschool groups, seniors facilities and families. Public programs are also offered year-round and are available to students aged 2-102.
