About This Activity

Paddle for Humanity heads to Seattle, WA on Saturday, July 20, 2013. The event features a 5K Fun Paddle, 10K Paddle and the new "Rule 7" Race.

5K Fun Paddle (Estimated time: 30-45 minutes)

Compete against friends or simply paddle for the pleasure of it. This is a fun race, close to shore and a great chance to experience racing in a low-pressure environment. Every racer receives a finisher medal. The 5K results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings for short course. This is a timed event.

10K Paddle (Estimated time: 60-90 minutes)

Compete against friends or simply paddle for the pleasure of it. This race is for the more seasoned paddler wishing to test their skill, endurance and strategy. The 10K results will be applied to World Paddle Association (WPA) rankings for long course. This is a timed event.

Rule 7 Race (Estimated time: 45-60 minutes)

We provide the equipment, you bring the stoke! This is a paddler run and regulated event where the winner takes all. However, we toss in enough equalizers and speed bumps that it can be anyones day. Rule 7 = No Whining!

Entry Fees

Pre-registration is $50/one event or $80/two events. Add $15 for event day beach sign-up.

World Paddleboard Association (WPA) Sanctioned Races

The 5K and 10k are sanctioned by the WPA. The following age divisions will receive points for rankings to qualify for both Regional and World Championships in either the 5K Fun Paddle or 10K Paddled. WPA divisions for these races include:

b) 18-29 for qualifying board classes and gender

c) 30-39 for qualifying board classes and gender

d) 40-49 for qualifying board classes and gender
