The course for the 2013 XTERRA Rocky Top Trail Half Marathon & 10k will consist of mostly single track trails with some gravel paths. It will stay on the lower portion of the mountain, so it will be a great trail race for the first timer or the runner looking to really cook through the woods. The trails do include some sharp turns and roots, so it is important to pay attention to your footing. There are also wooden bridge crossings which require you to take care to avoid slipping or falling.
