This annual competition heats up on Saturday as 200 amateur bumpers take to the slopes of Outer Limits to battle it out for top honors. The top 32 men and 16 women will return to compete in a head-to-head competition on Sunday. Participants run a dual course with sudden death format; only the winners advance.
This is an amateur event and will not be open to any USSA members or anyone who has been a member as a racer in the past five years. All competitors must check-in at the 3rd floor of Bear Mountain Lodge, between 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, to pick up competitor bibs.On Saturday at 10 a.m., competitors will each have one run, starting in a randomly selected order determined at the Start Order Party at Sushi Yoshi on Friday April 4, 2014. The top 32 men and 16 women will return on Sunday to compete in a dual format at 11 a.m. Pairs of competitors will run a dual course with sudden death format - only the winners remain. Divisions: Women 13 & under, Men 13 & under, Women 14 – 20 years old, Men 14 – 20 years old, Women 21 – 34 years old, Men 21 – 34 years old, Women 35 – 49 years old, Men 35 – 49 years old, Women 50+ years old, and Men 50+ years old.Awards will be presented to the first, second, third and fourth place overall male and female winners. The 1st – 4th place winners’ names will be engraved on the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge trophy.Also, any men or women who qualify for Sunday's finals will be entered to win a trip to Momentum Ski Camp!
