What's Included

Have fun building LEGO® creations which you power with motors and battery packs! Students design a variety of vehicles and creatures that use gears, motors and pulleys for speed and motion. Projects include a cargo plane, fast tri-wheel car, mechanized walker, waddling duck and zoomanoid, a half-"human", half-mechanical speedster. In the afternoon, students work in 2-person teams, exploring robotics as they build projects using the LEGO® Mindstorms NXT® microcomputer and sensors. Students create programs for many of their builds by pressing buttons on the NXT® brick microcomputer. These programs designate how motors will respond to sensor data. It's a great way to get introduced to the power of programming!
