Just in time to ring in the New Year! This is an introductory class for children interested in engineering, math, and wood crafting skills. Your kids will get to create a fun toy called a "Clacker." A Clacker is a generational and traditional New Year's Eve noisemaker guaranteed to generate a lot of racket to bring in the year. Under careful supervision, students will use a hand drill, Japanese saw, and a backsaw to create the Clacker from
wooden parts provided. Come join this fun-filled educational class and take home a keepsake Clacker. All materials and tools provided. Taught by Owen Kramer, an amateur wood maker, a retired Project Controls Engineer and a current substitute teacher for the Kennewick School District.
