About This Activity

TRiKC is the premiere triathlon club in the Midwest and Kansas City area serving all levels of the multisport community since 1992. TRiKC was established to provide a network of information, support services, training & racing activities, friendship and fun for all ages and abilities. Kansas City's Triathlon Club

Ever thought about doing a triathlon? Been racing for years? Join TRiKC and meet others like you who make the sport of triathlon part of their lives. TRiKC is one of the oldest and most respected triathlon clubs in the United States, providing services and support for all levels of multisport athletes in and around the Kansas City area. Our membership spans the spectrum of first-timers to veterans of Ironman competition and everything in between.

A not-for-profit Club

An independent, not-for-profit organization sanctioned by USA Triathlon, TRiKC is led by members who volunteer their time to organize activities such as clinics and workshops, group workouts and social gatherings. TRiKC helps sponsor local triathlons and triathlon-related activities. Our membership fees support these causes as well as a variety of benefits for TRiKC members only. And TRiKC’s membership fee is one of the lowest triathlon club membership fees in the country.

Yearly Membership Fees

Get more and pay less to be a Club Member. We have low membership fees and we offer family and youth memberships. You get a full year's membership, not matter what time of year you join. - New Members (Adults each receive a Race Jersey): Single $49; Family (max. 2 and children age 18 and under) $89 - Membership Renewals : Single $25; Family (max. 2 adults and children age 18 and under) $40 - Youth Memberships: Teen (age 17to 19 ) $18; Youth $15

SBR Elite Youth Triathlon Training

SBR Elite Training and Racing is a triathlon youth development program for junior triathletes ages 10 through 16. Team members are trained by USA Triathlon coaches that are committed to building champions in the sport of triathlon.

TRiKC members get a jump on the season sweating indoors with 100 or so of your closest friends while a USA Triathlon and USA Cycling coach inspires you with training tips beyond just what gear to be in and what heart rate to maintain. (2) The Women’s Triathlon Workshop, sponsored by TRiKC introduces women to the sport with an all-day clinic led by some of the local experts in triathlon. Still going strong after six years, the workshop provides a forum for beginner and novice female triathletes to learn more about the sport in a non-intimidating atmosphere. (3) The TRiKC Junior Triathlons at Longview Lake and the JCC, every June and July can be an early introduction to the sport for your children or your friends’ children. This event is one of the longest-running youth triathlons in the country. (4) Training opportunities with open-water swims and bike and run workouts at Shawnee Mission Park and other locations around the community. (5) Social opportunities with the annual summer barbecue and Ironman Hawaii party let you include the entire family in your multi-sport lifestyle. (6) Meet top professionals in the sport each year when TRiKC brings in a pro to compete in local triathlons. TRiKC has hosted such pros as Paula Newby-Fraser, Dave Scott, Wendy Ingraham, Heather Fuhr, Paul Huddle, Roch Frey, Chris Legh, Scott Tinley, Chris McCormack, Karen Smyers, Nicole DeBoom, Lisa Bentley, Sheila Taorimina, Sean Welch, Sarah Reinersten, and Tim DeBoom.
