About This Activity

The Oxbow Paddle 13.1 is a cruise down False River, starting in Bayou Chenal at Bergeron's on the Bayou and ending at The Landing (Downstairs at Satterfield's, our ending point), including two other bar and grill stops. Equipment drop off (standup paddle boards, kayaks, canoes...etc) at 4876 Zach Rd., Jarreau, LA 70749 from 8:30-9:15. Participants' equipment will be supervised while you drive your vehicles to The Landing at Satterfield's (108 East Main St., New Roads, LA 70760), which is our ending point. Bus will depart The Landing at Satterfield's at 10:00. No exceptions!!! Bus will drive participants back to your equipment. Paddle begins at 10:30am. Lunch and/or drinks at Bueche's Bar and Grill at approximately 11:30-1:00. We will end at The Landing (Satterfield's) between 4:30-5:30. Those interested in completing the full 13.1, can complete the remaining 2.1 on a cruise to Jim's Bar and Grill for the full False River experience. Just want to participate in a short evening paddle?! Meet us at Satterfield's at 4:45 to leave for 5:30 to join us for a stop at Jim's Bar and Grill. All paddlers of the 13.1 and 2.1 will end at The Landing (Satterfield's) at approximately 6:15. RACE DAY REGISTRATION ONLY:13.1 - $40MUST BE PRESENT AT BERGERON'S ON THE BAYOU ( 4876 Zach Rd., Jarreau, LA 70749) AT 8:15. 2.1 - $30MUST BE PRESENT AT THE LANDING AT SATTERFIELD'S (108 East Main St., New Roads, LA 70760) at 4:30 with equipment unloaded.This event is weather permitting. Should weather conditions be too dangerous to proceed on that day, the event will be rescheduled and fees will be transferred.
