About This Activity

7th annual edition. Great first timers & B race tune up, capped at 125 athletes. Well staffed event, T-shirts & finisher medals. Post race snacks & drinks. Free post race massage therapy.

 

Where:

Queens Harbour, 238 Queens Harbor Blvd. Jacksonville

 

Start Time: 7:20am, May 4, 2013

 

Registration:

$45 on Active.com until April 15th, then $55 up to & on race day.

Race day registration & Chip pick-up starts at 5:45 am

& closes sharply at 7:00am.

 

Transition Area:

There will be a marked transition area with 125 slots, enough for each participant.

No bike storage the night before the race.

Participants only in the transition area.

Only the race participant will be allowed to remove his/her bike from the transition area.

Participants will not be allowed to mount bikes inside transition area & will be made to dismount prior to transition area entrance following the bike segment.

 

Bike tech support & will be set up at the Bike Start/Finish entrance to the transition area.

 

Swim:

The swim is a 300 yard pool swim in the QH Sports Complex Pool. Participants start at one side of the pool & snake their way up & down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool.

Swimmers must submit an accurate projected completion time for the 300yd swim for their TT assignment. Changes can be made up until 5pm on May 1.

Swimmers will be lined up in numerical order for race start.

One swimmer will start every fifteen seconds

Be prepared to be at the swim start no later than 7:20 a.m.

There will be a water station as you enter the transition area.

If you feel like you need assistance during the swim - raise your hand above your head

The pool will be staffed by lifeguards.

 

Bike:

Bike course map available online, in the race packets & route kiosk.

NO DRAFTING!

It is important that all cyclists stay to the right unless passing.

Hard shell helmets must be worn.

Helmets must be fastened before leaving the transition area.

No headphones, earphones or any radio-type devices allowed!

There are plenty of volunteers along the course but it is ultimately your responsibility to know the course.

 

Run:

Run course map available on the adjoining page, & will also be in the race packets.

Directions for the run course, from the transition area:

You must display your race number on front as you cross finish line. Aid stations along route. Same rules as bike course.

Packet Pickup May 3, 2013 QHFitness Center 8am-8pm

Packet Pickup May 4, 2013 QH Fitness Center 5:45am-6:45am

Arrival Time No later than 6:00am for Chip Pickup

Body Marking All participants must be marked at the body marking area, located in the pool area. Body Marking begins at 6:30am-7:00am.

Pre-Race Meeting Mandatory pre-race meeting will be held in the pool area at 7:05am

Awards Award presentations will begin approximately 9:20am. You must be present to collect your award.
