About This Activity

Five Dollars of your registration fee benefits youth running programs. We are bringing back the 5K! It is included in our Double Road Race Events. Come run or walk the Indy 5K. You will get an official time, t-shirt and awards. The Double is a unique event created by Bob Anderson, the founder of Runner’s World Magazine.

Double Road Racing is a new sport. We like to call it ”The Double.” The Double Road Race is a 15k distance race consisting of two legs (10k + 5k) with a halftime in between. It’s new, it’s innovative and the strategies for runners is uniquely different. It’s the only running event with a halftime that features The Recovery Zone. Bob Anderson, creator of Double Road Running, ran 50 races covering 350.8 miles and averaged 6:59/mile in 2012. A documentary movie called “A Long Run” highlighting his challenge will be released later this year. Bob is an avid runner for 51 years and founder and former publisher of Runner’s World magazine for 18 years.
