The Truth Behind Sports Camps and Clinics
Ronald Baum of GM Sports/Homerun Softball Camps and Clinics takes us inside the multi-million dollar sports-camps industry, with tips for parents and players searching for the best camp to meet their needs.

Message Boards: Choosing the Right Camp
Designed to instruct campers in sport-specific techniques and, in some cases, catch the eye of a college recruiter, there can be a lot riding on which camp you attend. Find out what others learned going through the process or share your experience in the eteamz baseball message boards.

Pitchers velocity - My son is 14 and will be trying out for his HS team as a young freshman. He is currently throwing 78 mph indoors on a mound and his pitching coach expects he will add 2 mph + once he hits the field. We live in the midwest. My question is what would be a a good velocity for kids entering HS both in the midwest and the country as a whole. The topic came up at the center he works out at and there was quite a difference in discussion. He is actually a very young freshman and most of the boys his age are only in 8th grade. He is also only 5-7 and 150 lbs but has been doing core work pretty intense since the fall. I am really just looking for some input from others out there from different areas to see where he stacks up. Thanks
