Metro remains the most convenient means to arrive at the MCM10K start with the Smithsonian station (blue/orange) being located directly at the start. The Metro system opens at 5 a.m. on Marathon Morning. There is no shuttle service to the 10K start nor is there any designated 10K parking location, as road closures for the marathon will affect the area surrounding the course. Convenient post-race Metro stations are located in Rosslyn (blue/orange) and Arlington Cemetery (blue). |

The USATF-certified MCM10K course will follow the marathon course across the 14th Street Bridge into Crystal City. There, the 10K course diverts from the marathon by making a left onto 15th Street. After arriving at the Pentagon, 10K runners will complete their 6.2 miles in parallel to the MCM, finishing at the Marine Corps War Memorial. All runners will be timed using the ChronoTrack system. The course includes two water points and two aid stations. MCM10K runners will enjoy post-race hospitality to include Aquafina water, Powerade, fruit and other nourishment. |

The on-going entertainment begins when 16-year-old Miranda Townsend from Northern Virginia performs the National Anthem. Within the first mile, 10K runners will hear the beat of Batala, an all-women percussion group. More excitement and music follows in Crystal City. DJ Manny provides final mile motivation before runners approach the Marine Corps War Memorial finish line. |
