Be sure to retain the confirmation email you received upon completion of the registration process. You will need this to download your E-confirmation card from the MCM website later this summer.The E-confirmation card is necessary for retrieving race materials at Packet Pick-up, part of the three-day MCM Health and Fitness Expo

Registered but unable to run? You can defer your 2008 MCM entry to 2009.  The deferment policy allows registered runners to postpone their 2008 run for a guaranteed spot in the 2009 MCM. Simply fill out the Deferment Request Form. A $25 deferment fee is required, but the entry fee will convey to 2009.

Let the MCM help with your training! Registered runners are invited to sign up for the Virtual Trainer, designed by Coach Jeff Galloway, a free service as part of your $88 MCM entry fee. Also included are all race materials, bib, mock neck participant shirt, goodie bag, a three month subscription to Runners World, courtesy of Saturn and single use souvenir commemorative chip.

As you make your plans for MCM weekend, check out Race Headquarters at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill , or make travel plans through the MCM’s Travel Desk. Don’t miss great airfare deals from MCM sponsor JetBlue Airways and other national carriers.

Incorporate other great MCM events into your marathon training. Check out the Run Amuck, to be held on June 21, a 5K course featuring a variety of obstacles including hills, a tire dash and plenty of opportunity for runners ages 10 and up to get dirty! Families can check out the Kids Run Amuck

Make race weekend an event for the whole family. Children ages 6-13 can register for the one-mile Healthy Kids Fun Run, presented by the Washington Post and other family members can take part in the MCM10K, presented by Aetna. Registration for both events opens online on June 4.

Trying to reach a time goal? Run with the ClifBar Pace Team. Sign up at the Expo for pace groups with the following expected finish times: 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:50, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:00, 5:30.
