Brief Description

The Inaugural Pabst Blue Ribbon Colorado Pond Hockey Tournament will be held on the weekend of February 27th, 2010. Join hundreds of players from around the state and country bringing the sport back to it's roots.

    • Format

    The tournament consists of two divisions - OPEN and WOMENS Division. A $500 cash prize is up for the winners of the OPEN Division. Custom Trophies for both the OPEN winner and the WOMENS winner. 4 v 4 Round Robin tournament style play, plus medal rounds on Sunday. Each game has two 15 minute halves with a two minute Pabst Blue Ribbon break.

    Rules

    Please visit www.coloradopondhockey.com for complete rules. The biggies are: Must wear skates and a helmet, No goalies or goalie sticks, No checking, No slapshots, No drinking while on the ice (just on the bench), Players can only play on one team, Must be 21 to drink

    Donations

    A portion of the Colorado Pond Hockey Tournament's proceeds will benefit the Colorado Youth Hockey Foundation. Additional donations are accepted and 100% of those donations will benefit the foundation.

    Each team gets a custom Pabst Blue Ribbon hockey jersey, unlimited Pabst, guaranteed three games, great food, warm tents, big fires, games under the sun and under the lights, cash prizes to the winners and the best hospitality as only the Town of Frisco can provide.
