The 6th Annual Holiday in the Park will create magical memories for those who live in our community as we explore and experience our beautiful city park throughout the entire month of December. The half mile rustic drive throughout Howell City Park will be lined with a hundred trees decorated for the season by local families, businesses, church groups, and service organizations. We have created an enchanting setting, reminiscent of a Currier & Ives painting.
Opening festivities will take place on Friday, November 30 from 6pm-8pm when the park will be lit up. Santa Claus will be on hand for photos with the kids, horse-drawn carriage (additional fee of $5/person), and lost of hot chocolate and cookies will be served. As you enter the park, the cost will be $5/car so load up as many kids as you can and make time this season to enjoy the outdoors and get into the holiday spirit with us.
To Sponsor a TreeFor those of you who would like to take part in decorating a tree, this is a great way to support community recreation, advertise your business, or extend holiday wishes to your friends and neighbors. We have six foot trees available for $40. To reserve your tree, contact the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority at 517/546-0693 ext. 0. For your donation, we'll provide the tree, the electricity, and a sign by your tree. You provide the lights and all the decorations (please no valuables and all decorations must be protected for our outdoor environment). Decorating will take place between 9:00am on Saturday, November 24th through 12 noon on November 30th. All trees must be undecorated by Wednesday, January 2nd at 5:00pm.
