What's Included

Have you always wanted to be able to read music? Want to be able to read music faster and more accurately? Want to impress your stand partner by always having the right note? Want to feel more confident singing harmonies? This course is designed for teens and adults who may have some experience with using sheet music, but who want to improve their sight reading skills. Although the class is geared towards singers, sight reading is an important skill for all musicians, and being a ‘singer’ is not required. In this class, students will learn how to read music in treble and bass clefs, identify key and time signatures, use solfege (“fixed Do”), scale degrees (“movable Do”), and accurately read and perform basic rhythmic patterns. This is a great way to boost your musicianship with simple exercises that even beginners can master with a little practice. Instructor: Mark DiCampo Class for grade 9 through Adult
