Water soluble oil paint is a modern variety of oil paint engineered to be thinned and cleaned up with water, thus making it possible to avoid using chemicals such as turpentine. In this fun and flexible class, both new and continuing students will explore oil painting. At the end of this course, students will have explored or reviewed the fundamentals of drawing, including perspective and values; oil techniques; the color wheel & color mixing; oil application; and composition. If you prefer to work in pastel, this class provides individual attention to hone in on your artistic skill level and grow your abilities, all through the versatile medium of pastel. Students will work from from provided still life or from their own photos or objects of inspiration. At the end of this course, students will have reviewed or learned about composition, pastel application, color theory, perspective, values and the many techniques that can be used to make a beautiful work of art. 3 classes Instructor: Carolyn Kinloch-Winkler Oil Painting Supplies: 1.
