ABOUT THE CLASS: Participating in a small group music class gives students a chance to work on arrangements of pieces performed by professional musicians all over the world. Students of all levels will work on music theory such as reading notes and rhythms, scales, and melodic structure. Students can select from guitar or voice. DAY/TIME: 45 minute classes will take place after school, one time per week (either on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays). Groups will be formed according to skill level. Parents will be notified of the day and time classes/lessons will take place. CLASS SIZE: Minimum of 5 students per class MATERIALS: *Please DO NOT purchase materials/instrument until you are notified of enrollment. Parents will be instructed to buy materials once classes have begun. www.sheetmusic.com is a good resource. Material cost will range from $15-$25 per year. GETTING AN INSTRUMENT: *Please DO NOT purchase until you are notified of enrollment. Students are responsible for renting or buying their own instrument for the classes. Call Musika at 877-687-4524 if you need help getting an instrument. POLICIES: 1. This is a semester long program. The parent must inform Musika before the next semester begins if they wish to discontinue lessons, as the student's spot will be reserved. 2. There are no refunds for students who miss a class. 3. Classes missed due to teacher absence or weather related school closing will be refunded at the end of the semester. ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENT: If fewer than 5 students enroll, the class will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
