About This Activity

This workshop is for those with prior experience in oils, acrylics, pastels or charcoal, who wish to continue growing as an artist.  Susan will work closely with all participants and their distinct goals in order to make the workshop a positive and effective learning experience.  Students will have the option of working from plein air studies, sketches, photos to create objects:  Focus issues are:

  • Creating a dynamic composition and design to support your motif
  • Identifying the main masses
  • Blocking in Value
  • Understanding color and its components
  • Confident and effective paint application

Participants should provide their own easel.  A small number of easels are available for use during the class.  Please contact Kate Vogts at 630.323.7500, ext. 225 to reserve yours for this class.
