Highlands Ranch Half Marathon
The Highlands Ranch Half Marathon combines the beauty and serenity of the Douglas County Backcountry with the charming streets and neighborhoods of a pleasant community that was quite literally once a ranch. With over 11 miles of gorgeous mountain views of the Colorado Front Range, 4 miles of groomed dirt roads through pine trees and rocky bluffs, and a 1,000 foot vertical descent this half marathon is a must run for all ability levels.
The Highlands Ranch Half Marathon is produced by runners with the goal of creating a second-to-none running experience while at the same time promoting community service initiatives and causes that stimulate healthy living, volunteerism, and charitable giving as ways to transform lives for the better.

The Highlands Ranch Half Marathon course was designed by runners to be fast and scenic but still challenging. Youll enjoy 11 miles of gorgeous mountain views of the Colorado Front Range and 4 miles of groomed dirt roads through pine trees and rocky bluffs. With a 1,000 foot vertical descent this is arguably the fastest half marathon in the Denver Metro Area.
The race starts in the southeast end of Daniels Park (buses will take you from the Finish to the Start) and heads west towards the mountains for approximately 11 miles before turning north and then back east to the Finish Line at Highlands Ranch Town Center. Water and aid stations will be placed frequently along the course. Key elevation stats are as follows: Start Elevation: 6,583; Max Elevation: 6,598; Min Elevation: 5,576; Finish Elevation: 5,695.
