About This Activity

Freeskate levels are designed to build a strong foundation of edges, all basic skills mastered, all basic spin positions acquired, and every single jump learned. Current students will be given an evaluation at the end of the session designating their placement for the next session. New students may schedule an evaluation prior to registration by calling the skating coordinators at 847.579.4104. Centennial does not guarantee a place in the appropriate level if the student is registered for the wrong level. Every effort will be made to place the student appropriately, but if that level is full the student will be removed and given a refund less the registration processing fee of $20. The minimum is 5 students for a class to run. Focus is these skills: 1. Advanced forward stroking 2. Basic forward outside and forward inside edges, four to six consecutive edges 3. Advanced backward outside three turn, R & L 4. Scratch spin from backward crossovers, minimum of three revolutions 5. Waltz jump from two to three backward crossovers 6.
