The 2012 Monitor Lodge Child ID Storm the Fort 5K and Phoebus Days 1-Mile Fun Run has been cancelled due to unforseen and significant obstacles. We sincerely apologize for this disappointment and inconvenience. Thank you for your support of our cause, and we hope you will look for and support this race again next year. Feel welcome join us on Saturday, October 13 for a Child ID event, free to anyone who wishes to identify their child or children.
Early Registration: $25 through Sept. 30, 2012 (Race-Day Shirt Guaranteed)
Regular Registration: $30, Sept. 30 � Oct. 12
Race Day Registration: $35, 6:30am to 7:30am Saturday, Oct. 13
1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: $10 through race day.

AGE GROUPS AND AWARDS
Top three Male & Female Overall, Top three Male & Female in each age group will receive an award. Age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk participants will also receive an award.
$200 will be awarded to the overall top male and top female finishers!THE COURSE
The scenic course begins and ends at Monitor Lodge No. 197 at 212 E. Mellen Street in Hampton, Virginia. Runners proceed through historic downtown Phoebus, down Mallory Street to Mercury Blvd. towards and onto Fort Monroe, continue past a marina, turn around, and then run over Mugler Bridge to the finish line. Runners will view beautiful vistas, wildlife, and enjoy a mostly flat, fast course.
This race supports the Virginia Freemason�s Child Identification Program (VACHIP), a unique program that helps parents protect their families by better ensuring the safe recovery of a missing child. The VACHIP bolsters the Amber Alert system through the digitization of a child�s personally identifiable information, voice, mannerisms, and photographs onto a CD for parents to keep and provide authorities should the need arise. Monitor Lodge will be offering this free service on October 13. More information about our charity can be found by visiting our online donations page below.
PACKET PICK UP
Runners can pick up their packets between 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, October 12 at Monitor Lodge No. 197 at 212 E. Mellen Street, Hampton, VA 23663. Registered runners must bring proper photo identification.
Parking on race day is available on street. Considering this race is in conjunction with the Phoebus Days celebration, carpooling and early arrival is strongly encouraged. Streets may be closed, so plan accordingly. The race starts and ends at Monitor Lodge.
