Description
This is the 36th annual Valley of the Flowers Half-Marathon, held for the past few years at La Purisima Mission on a scenic off-road course. The run/walk event starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. For the second year in a row, there is also a 5K. The course is hilly, mostly dirt with sections of sand and pavement. Every mile and turn is marked.
Event schedule and times
Packet pick-up starts at 7 a.m. on race day, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 in front of the visitor center, which is adjacent to the parking lot at La Purisima Mission. The race starts at 8 a.m. and the course is closed at noon.
