Greater Portland Half Marathon:
The Event
The Reinke Sports Group presents the Greater Portland Half Marathon on August 6th, 2011. The half marathon starts at 8:00am, the 5K at 8:15am and a one mile fun run at 9:45. The half marathon ends at noon, so be sure you can finish in four hours.
The Course
Each race begins and ends on the track at Lincoln Park/Pacific University. The half marathon is flat to rolling hills through Forest Grove and on the scenic roads of Washington County. The 5K is on the streets of Forest Grove. The one mile run is on the track and the path around Lincoln Park. Go to www.mapmyrun.com to view the courses. There will be aid stations every 2-3 miles along the course.
Shirts
A limited edition short sleeve tech shirt is included with each Half Marathon entry. Commemorative T-Shirts for 5K, Fun Runners and Volunteers.
Awards
Plaques to the overall male and female winners and the overall male and female masters winners in the half marathon and the 5K The top three finishers in each five year age group will earn awards.
