Description
Welcome to the first annual Half on the 4th Half Marathon! This fast and well shaded 13.1 mile course will begin and end in Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs. There are flush bathrooms at the race start, aid stations at every mile and bathrooms along the course. The race follows the Greenway Trail with a mix of cement and hard pack pea gravel. It is a slight downhill on the way out and a slight uphill on the way back. All participants will receive a free t-shirt and medals for finishers. There is large play area in Monument Valley Park for the kids (that aren't running) to play on while mom or dad is finishing her/his race and a public pool (run by the YMCA at additional cost) to cool down after the race!
Directions: If you are coiming from I-25, take the Uintah St exit east and go south on Cascade (less than a mile after exit). Go one block to Cache La Poudre St and take a right (west). After 500 yards on Cache La Poudre you will run into Monument Valley Park. Look for free parking along the roads as you are coming towards the park.
