Description
2010 Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series returns to King County's Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park this spring through summer with the eighth-annual installment of competitive (and fun) trail running.
Racing begins May 15 with a five-mile run along a portion of Cougar Mountain's 36-mile trail system. Runs of 7, 10, and 13 miles are scheduled for the following three months in what is one of the most popular trail running events in the Pacific Northwest.
PNTF CHAMPIONSHIP 13 MILE RACE
New this year! The 13 mile race will be a Pacific Northwest Track & Field Championship (PNTF) hosted by the Mountain Ultra Trail (MUT) division. You must be a USATF member to be eligible for the prize money. All we need is a name and a valid 2010 USATF number from all entrants before the event. You can register for USATF on race day or online at:
https://www.usatf.org/membership/application/
The cost is $30 for 1 year online ($20 youth).
Prize structure will be the same for Open and Masters Men/Women:

2nd: $125
3rd: $50 Fleet Feet Gift Card
Total prize purse $1,800
In addition to volunteer labor performed by members of the Seattle Running Club, a portion of the trail race registration fees are donated to King County Parks. Of each racer's individual event fee, $15 goes toward park maintenance and improvements. Nearly $40,000 has been raised over the past thre years for King County Parks.
