Description

Come join us for the first annual Run for Wildlife. A beautiful run beginning at Sugar Mountain and proceeding through Banner Elk, Lees McRae College's Campus, Matney, and ending back in Banner Elk at the Best Western Mtn Lodge where there will be live entertainment as you cross the finish line. This is a challenging run with a couple of steep hill climbs. The finale of the run is downhill with beautiful vistas if you can raise your head to look. The race takes place at an average altitude of 3500 ft. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. A runners luncheon will be available at the hotel after the race.


All proceeds will benefit Lees McRae's Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and research. Registration will be from 12pm until 8pm on Friday April 12, 2013 at the Best Western Plus Mountain Lodge in Banner Elk, NC.
