This is the 18th Annual Seabee Volkslauf Mud Run. We encourage you to come and participate in one of the largest running events on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!The course will be roughly 5+ miles with a mixture of terrain. There will be numerous wet obstacles (ditches, trenches mud pits, etc.) a little trail running and a few stretches on asphalt. A lot of fun is guaranteed!
All online registrations should be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6. Race day registration will be an additional $10.
NCBC Gulfport will be an open base on Saturday, September 7th. All drivers coming aboard will need current insurance, vehicle registration and driver's license. No firearms or weapons are allowed aboard NCBC. No coolers, ice chests or pets are allowed at the Mud Run.Mud Run officials may delay or cancel the race due to severe weather or disaster.Runners understand that obstacle and endurance racing has risks associated with the activity. They acknowledge that they are physically capable of completing the course with all obstacles it contains. If a runner finds that they cannot complete the course it is their responsibility to exit the course.Any runner that exits the course cannot return to the course.Participants in the Mud Run must wear the bib and timer furnished in their packet upon check-in. Runners must wear an official bib and wristband to be on the course. If you lose your bib or wristband you will not receive an official time, thus will not qualify for any award.Spectators are allowed to view the run along the route but not within the route boundaries of the course or any of the obstacles.Any participant that feels that their safety is in danger or who is injured must immediately notify the course officials of the problem.Participants must follow all instructions given by the race director, race staff, volunteers and medical personnel.The Mud Run will have medical personnel on site to attend participants who suffer an injury or sickness during the race. They may examine any participant who appears to have a problem and will have the final say on whether a participant can safely continue to participate in the event. Participants agree that they are responsible for all medical expenses incurred as a result of participating in the Mud Run. This will include but is not limited to ambulance service, hospitalization or a physician's services.Course officials will be stationed at each of the course obstacles to assure safe transit by the participants.The Mud Run officials may revise or modify the event rules at any time for any reason. Participants will be responsible for knowing the changes that are published prior to the event.Any participant is subject to removal from the race due to failure to obey instructions given by the course official. This includes unsportsmanlike conduct, offensive language, nudity and failure to complete any obstacle.No participant can receive assistance from any non-competitor on any obstacle.Several videographers and photographers are stationed along the course. Participants agree to allow the Mud Run to use any pictures or video footage of the event for future promotions.
