The Rotary Club of Grass Valley invites you to participate in our first annual Gold Country Challenge. The event includes a 50k, a short and long metric century, and 100 mile tour of the beautiful Gold Country region of Northern California. The ride is fully supported by friendly volunteers, fantastic rest stops, support vehicles, and well-marked routes.
After your ride, you can relax, visit with other riders, purchase t-shirts and jersey, and enjoy a hearty dinner and live entertainment. Bring your family with you and the kids can enjoy the family ride and children's bike rodeo.
Riders can register as late as the morning of the event at the Fairgrounds or Friday night at the Fair Grounds Gate 5 (enter through Gate 4) between 3pm and 7pm
The event will promote the new “Give 'Em Three” law requiring vehicles to give cyclist at least three feet of room when passing. We hope this event will not only raise funds for those youth programs supported by Rotary, but also improve cycling safety and awareness.
