RIDE 542 - Mt. Baker Hill Climb is a 24.5, 50, or 100 mile cycling challenge for riders of all abilities. The Mt. Baker Highway (or SR542) is one of the most scenic paved roads in the world from Glacier to Artist Point and back down to Glacier!
This year the start will be at Chair 9 Woodstone Pizza and Bar at 10459 Mt. Baker Highway, Glacier, WA, about 1 mile past downtown Glacier. All parking will be handled at Chair 9.
Please check website. Event format will change for 2013. This year, RIDE 542 will start at Chair 9 Woodstone Pizza bar in Glacier, WA. (10459 Mt.Baker Highway) RIDE 542 will be limited to 200 people, so please register early. FESTIVAL 542 collects a per rider green fee that is given through the NorKa Fund at the Whatcom Community Foundation. Benefit organizations include: RE-Sources, Whatcom Land Trust and the Whatcom Parks and Recreation Foundation. Most riders race up and then relax back down to Glacier (49 miles total). Carpooling is HIGHLY recommended and rewarded. There will be NO road closure for 2013. Changes may happen so please keep updated on the website. We will keep you posted on weather conditions, and please bring all the proper clothing for all conditions. The weather can change quickly and dramatically in a short amount of time. Please be prepared for cooler conditions at Artist Point. See you on the hill. Train smart and ride safe...the road and trails await you.
