What's Included

A special opportunity for middle school students on the Autism spectrum who are interested in performance! Young actors will have an opportunity to choose a short monologue and will learn the basics of individual performance including projection, diction, memorization techniques and character work. All students will also be introduced to appropriate audience etiquette and how to respond when someone else is performing. No previous experience needed. The class will end with a performance for family and friends. Skills learned: Projection, diction, memorization, characterization, vocal/physical warm ups, teamwork, patience

About This Organizer

The Georgetown Palace Theatre Education Program is dedicated to training youth and adults in theatre arts and to providing age appropriate performing opportunities. 

Our MISSION is to foster a lifelong appreciation of Live Theatre by providing a safe environment for training and creative self-expression, while building self confidence and leadership skills through the performing arts.

During the Summer, we offer 2-4 week Musical Theatre workshops where every child is cast in an amazing show! Ages 7-9, 10-12, and teens attend daily class in acting, staging, vocals, dance, stagecraft, and monologues that culminate in a public performance for family and friends.
