The Health Living Expo will once again feature the H20 5K race. The 5K is sponsored by the City of Garland Water and Stormwater Management Departments to help educate about water conservation and pollution. Once you have finished the 5K race we invite you into the event center for free health screenings, seasonal vaccines, green living exhibits and many giveaways along the way. Registration Opens at 7:15 a.m.Race Begins at 8:15 a.m.The race takes place rain or shine!
Race Performance T-Shirts
A race performance t-shirt and goodie bag to all participants registered prior to 9/6! Only a small quantity of shirts will be available on race day for late registrations.
Overall Male and Female and the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+. (Note: 40-49 was our largest category last year, so we have broken that into two groups this year.)
Certified 5K Course (TX12123ETM)
The race will start and finish on Naaman Forest Blvd. The start will go west on Naaman Forest, turn south on North Garland Avenue, turn east on Spring Creek Drive and turnaround at Apollo Road to head back. Water station will be at turnaround point.
Timing will be provided by Chip-2-Chip Race Timing using Disposable Bibs.
Friday, September 20, 2013, 3 p.m. ? 6 p.m. at the Curtis Culwell Center and Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 7:15 a.m. at theCurtis Culwell Center at race-day registration by the starting line of the race!
Parking & Facilities
Free parking at the Curtis Culwell Center. Portable restrooms will be provided near the race start point. Restrooms inside the Curtis Culwell Center will not be available until after 9 a.m.
